I’M ADENE AND I ADORE WEDDINGS
Which is why it’s an absolute privilege for me when people ask me to document their most important day. A wedding is a thing of exquisite beauty and meticulous planning, bursting with emotion and rich with stories. It’s where generations come together for one day only to celebrate love. Being able to transform those special moments into tangible memories is what I love.
For me, the perfect photo portfolio showcases photos that are not just stunning to look at but capture what you may have missed and what you’ll want to remember forever. The way your dad looked at you before he gave you away. The way your dress sashayed over the dance floor. How dapper your man looked in his suit. Having all your siblings, nieces and nephews together in that one shot, that one time.
You could say I grew up with a camera in hand, eagerly learning from my father who was a pretty decent amateur photographer. I used to love hanging out in his dark room – watching as he magically turned celluloid into memorable imagery. After completing my studies at Stellenbosch University and working as a fashion buyer, this shared passion for telling stories through photography eventually triumphed.
Today, I’m a full-time wedding photographer and a proud voyeur of the most beautiful of days. At each of the over 300 weddings I’ve captured, I still laugh and cry at every single altar kiss, heartfelt speech or first dance. Big or small, city spectacular or countryside affair, I embrace the simple and the extravagant. No wish is too OTT, no demand too big. Let’s tell your love story together.
