17 Mar The Secret shoot: Country love – Tulbagh
We were so excited when the lovely Anneri & Pieter Carinus booked us for their own Secret shoot! You migh recognise these two, as they recently won “Sarie bridal couple of the year” competition.
We decided to work with the forecasted pantone colours for Spring 2014; Hemlock, Placid Blue, Sand and a touch of Blush. These are all very adaptable pastels that can be creatively combined with any other colour in the spectrum.
Alana van Heerden, who made most of our previous Secret Shoot’s magnificent dresses, came on board again and made the most romantic, yet fun, blue tulle dress that had us weak at the knees! We also arranged the local Tulbagh vet’s rescue donkey, Dusty to be an integral part of the shoot, even made a floral crown for him, but he had other plans. He just ate all the apples and carrots we provided and then disappeared into the forest. I guess modelling is not for everyone! So in the last scene, Dusty’s floral crown was quickly adjusted to fit Anneri’s head! We also incorporated a water coloured cake by the talented Nelle Cakes and added some hand painted stationary by Susan Brand Design, to complement the look. Anneri’s make-up and hair was expertly done by the incredibly talented Sanmarie. Another gorgeous part of the shoot was the little yellow Isabella Borgward car, all the way from Ceres – needless to say, she stole all of our hearts!
