Inge & Rudolf, Die Woud

This lovely couple got married in the heart of the Overberg. Die Woud is a new up-and-coming venue located on the outskirts of Caledon. It was designed by standing back and allowing mother nature to just be – creating an unforgettable experience in a forest filled with established oak and tall wattle trees.

The clear glass building enchantingly reflected the ghost chairs and crystal chandeliers. The floral arrangements broke through the seriousness very playfully with bright pops of colour here and there. This was all perfectly rounded off by a personal touch of origami and cards displaying tidbits of what makes this couple unique – from their favourite wine to a few of the dreams they share for the future. I will refrain from speaking of the cake table for fear of never stopping.

Inge and Rudolf were introduced to each other by mutual friends. Their relationship’s foundation was laid on the steps of the gym’s spinning class – which they both very avidly started attending after realising the other was also doing so. Rudolf proposed to Inge by tying a blade of grass around her finger at the same waterfall in Jonkershoek where they had their first date.

Rudolf, who participated in the past 5 Ironman triathlons, decided to start off his marriage with a record number of brownie points by allowing the wedding to take place on the same weekend as his favourite race – a wise, wise man. The day was filled with unique and memorable moments and it is definitely worth mentioning the trance hour that ended off this evening with a twist!

Congratulations Inge and Rudolf, may your story stay as beautifully interesting as this first day was.
